How to create a template

1) Login to your WhatsApp Manager > Message templates
2) Click on Create Template on the top right corner.
Please ensure you have admin access to login to FB Business Manager. Otherwise, you will not be able to create template
3) Choose a category, name the template and select a language. Then click on Continue.
Template name will be typed in small caps with an underscore automatically.

4) Create the message body accordingly.
Please use variables {{1}} to replace personalised contents such as customer name, order number and date etc.
You can use more than 1 variable in a template message, please note variables cannot be repetitive, it has to be in ascending order {{1}}, {{2}}, {{3}}, and so on.
Click on Add Language on the left to add other languages and create the template at the same time
Header is optional to be included in template, you may also choose text or media in this section.
User may choose image, video or document to be included in the header section of a template
Buttons are optional too, you can choose to include quick reply or call-to-action buttons whenever necessary.
Quick reply buttons allow recipients to quickly select an option to facilitate the conversation
5) Once you are done with the content, click Add sample on the top right, upload an image file (if applicable), fill up the variable contents, and click Done.
6) Click on Submit. It will pop up with a window to confirm the language that you are submitting. Click Confirm.
7) The template is now submitted for review.
The approval process usually takes 2 hours to 2 days.
You may utilize the search bar to search by the template name and check on the approval status accordingly.
